Welcome to Lenticule. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Lenticule mobile application (“Software”). By using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.
1. On-Device Operation
Lenticule is designed to operate locally on your device. All file processing, advanced HDR rendering, AI-powered subject extraction, and guided panel viewing tasks are performed directly by the hardware of your device. The Software does not utilize external servers or cloud processing for its core functionality.
2. Data Ownership and Privacy
Your privacy and data ownership are central to Lenticule:
- User Ownership: All comic files, extracted subjects, and associated metadata belong exclusively to you.
- On-Device Storage: No user data, comic files, or personal information leaves your device, except for the synchronization of your reading progress which is securely managed via your private iCloud account.
- No Data Collection: Lenticule does not collect, track, or share your data with third parties or external servers.
3. License to Use
Lenticule grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the Software on your own device for personal or professional use, subject to these Terms.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. LENTICULE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
5. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPERS OR OWNERS OF LENTICULE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- HEATING AND THERMAL THROTTLING: COMIC BOOK PANEL DETECTION, HDR RENDERING, AND AI SUBJECT EXTRACTION ARE INTENSIVE TASKS THAT CAN LEAD TO HEATING AND THERMAL THROTTLING OF THE DEVICE. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY HARDWARE DAMAGE, DEGRADATION, OR TECHNICAL ISSUES THAT MAY OCCUR TO YOUR MOBILE DEVICE OR COMPUTER AS A RESULT OF RUNNING THE SOFTWARE.
- DATA LOSS: ANY LOSS OF DATA, CORRUPTION OF FILES, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS FILES STORED ON YOUR DEVICE OR ICLOUD ACCOUNT.
- PERFORMANCE ISSUES: ANY SYSTEM SLOWDOWN OR BATTERY DRAIN CAUSED BY THE INTENSIVE PROCESSING REQUIRED FOR THE SOFTWARE’S FUNCTIONALITY.
YOU USE THE SOFTWARE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble the Software.
- Use the Software for any illegal purpose or in violation of copyright laws regarding the audio files you process.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Software following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
